Service Technician

Capilano Audi is looking for a Full-time Service Technician.

Main responsibilities include:

• Perform inspections, repairs, maintenance and installations efficiently, safety and accurately according to the dealer’s and manufacture’s guidelines.

• Diagnosis and document in detail the cause of concerns and related repair.

• Work closely and communicate freely with other members of the team. This will include, but is not limited to other technicians and apprentices, parts consultants, service advisors, wash staff and sales personnel.

• Inspect all vehicle for safety and operation and notify advisors immediately if additional repairs are required.

• Notify shop foreman and advisors if work cannot be completed in the allotted time.

• Perform road tests as a quality check to verify the work performed.

• Provide guidance and support to any assigned apprentices.

• Maintain a clean and professional workspace.

• Complete and maintain a proficient level of factory certification though web based and instructor led training.

• Adhere to all company and manufactures policies and procedures.

• Comply with the health and safety regulations.

Required Education:

• Automotive Red Seal or equivalent Automotive/Technician Trade Certification

Ideal candidate should meet the following qualifications:

• Possess a valid driver's license and provide an ICBC Driver's Abstract

• Be self motivated and can work independently

• A team player

• Basic set of tools

• Be very organized and hardworking

• Takes pride in their work

• Punctual and reliable

• Able to work varied shifts

• Open to overtime and extra shifts

• Previous Audi or German automotive experience would be a major asset
